Malicious scripts can and sometimes do create invisible login fields that you can't see to catch those credentials without your knowledge, as three researchers discovered in 2017. Just my 2 cents worth.Autofilling tries to fill those fields all the time. What I can say is I never had any problem with LP. In fairness there may be some unknown security reason these functions shouldn't be implemented. I guess what I'm saying is if I can correct the issue with a macro LP should be able to do the same thing. I also agree there are some fields that LP can't properly identify as the correct input location, I also tried to find what the webpage was labeling the field name with no luck, this situation could be fixed by allowing the addition of Tab and Back Tab key strokes to the form fill information for example if you know on a given page the cursor always goes to a specific field the ability to add to tab strokes gets you to the correct field would be easy to implement. I've always wondered why LastPass (LP) doesn't function as a virtual HID device. I do get around any site that won't allow even cut and past by using my macro program which simulates typing anything in clipboard as if it is a HID (Hardware Input Device). Suggested fixes didn't work for me, Oddly I never have a problem with American express this is the URL I have for login " com /en-us/ account/ login?inav = iNavLnkLog" remove spaces. I'll note that I also tried turning off my browser addons (ublock origin and malwarebytes browser extension) in case of interference. Chrome works fine and lets me choose different accounts, Firefox at least shows the button in the login box but selecting an account does nothing (it doesn't fill in the boxes). Sites that work without issues with Chrome either:Ģ - the username and password boxes don't even show the little box that lets you choose which username to use doesn't appear in the username/password boxģ - even if the box appears clicking the account I want it to fill in for me doesn't work (i click the account but the username and password stay blank).Īnd yes I can confirm that american express doesn't work for me. I had been 100% using chrome but just last night started using Firefox as performance seems much better/smoother (on my thinkpad t480s).įirst off, Chrome and Lastpass have always worked great for me.įirefox and Lastpass has been. I like the idea of perhaps just setting up my own docker to store my passwords so maybe down the road i'll do that *** trying bitwarden which seems to work perfectly, importing usernames passwords was pretty easy too (2-3 mins). I guess i'll go back to chrome I just find performance is so poor compared to firefox (jerky scrolling etc). i seem to only have this issue in firefox (chrome is fine).ĭo your amex accounts that match the subdomain you're logging into work ok?įor example, if you're on and your site account's url also starts with does it work? (vs or ). and I don't know why these financial sites do these gimmicks with form fields. Not sure what the ultimate solution is here. Not filling because tld mismatch between and Įtc. Not filling because tld mismatch between and Īnd for Personal Capital: Not filling because tld mismatch between and onloadwff.js:79:82398 Not filling because tld mismatch between and onloadwff.js:79:82398 If you turn on the Web Developer Console in Firefox (Ctrl+Shift+K), you will see stuff like this for AmEx: Not filling because tld mismatch between and onloadwff.js:79:82398 For some reason the form fields are not in the domain expected by LastPass
